James has fifteen full-time employees working at Complete Construction Services, and sub-contracts for the specialist areas. His clients only have to worry about one bill at the end of the day. There are, he points out, very few other builders on the island qualified to provide a 'design and build' service.

Since he formed the company nine years ago their work has been divided fairly evenly between the new build and extensions. He is particularly interested in period buildings, and in working with clients on the on the design and building of sympathetic extensions and renovations. In the new build area, Complete Construction Services offer both conventional and timber frame construction; they are agents for Castle Homes of County Antrim. Timber frame building has been used for hundreds of years, and offers a much faster on-site building time, excellent insulation properties and very good heat retention.
